YN scattering data: AR62

The experiment:

The elastic scattering of Λ on protons is investigated. Λ particles are produced in the interaction of 7-8 GeV/c π^- mesons with hydrogen and carbon in a propane bubble chamber located in a constant magnetic field of 13700 Oe. 70000 photographs have been scanned; 20 events were selected.

The data:

	momentum range effective mean number of SGT [mb] [MeV/c] momentum [MeV/c] events 400 - 1500 1000 ) 20 42 +/- 16 1500 - 2500 2000 ) 30 +/- 15

Notes:

Corrections have been made for small angle Λ scattering ( < 18 degrees). These could not be detected.
Some information on the angular distribution of the events is given in a graph. PDG extracted numbers from these graphs. We do not include these.
PDG calculated (F-B)/(F+B) = -0.76 +/- 0.15 from the angular distribution mentioned in the previous note.
